Two research groups to feature at the 2015 Mathematics Festival

Four members of the department have successfully bid for their research groups to take part in a Mathematics Festival which will take place at the London Science Museum in November 2015 as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the London Mathematical Society (LMS) http://www.lms.ac.uk/2015/footfall_festival.

Phil Rippon and Gwyneth Stallard put in a joint proposal with researchers from Imperial College and the University of Liverpool for their new LMS Scheme 3 research group in holomorphic dynamics to take part in the Festival. Uwe Grimm and Katie Chicot’s proposal on aperiodic order involves colleagues from the OU Engineering and Innovation Department as well as researchers from Durham, Leicester and Newcastle.
